What operating system does Teacup Software run on?

All software written by Teacup Technology is web based, this means that it will run on any pc that has Apache/PHP/Mysql installed. This however is for the server, any client pc connecting to the server just needs a web browser running. We recommend FireFox. But our software is even accessable via Web Enabled PDAs or Cell Phones.

What countries does Teacup Technology service?

Currently we service South Africa only. But plans are in place to start supporting Australia and Britain.

Does your Accounting Package support multiple Currencies?

Yes, we have a multi currency module. This module checks the latest exchange rates every 30min, this is then filtered through our systems. When creating an invoice you select the currency, it will then calculate the invoice amount by the availible exchance rate. When Payments are made the difference "Exchange rate loss or gain" is sent to a loss or gains account.

How does your clock-in systems work?

Our clock-in system is near completion. It uses the simple method of camera clock-in system. When a employee swipes his or her card, it takes a quick  photo. This prevents card sharing. At any time management can pull reports showing details on each employee including normal time, over time and time and a half. The clock-in system can take in account week ends and South African public holidays.

Is a linux server that much better than alternative servers?

In our opinion, if you take the costs, support required and all other aspects, a linux network server is by far the best solution. The only disadvantage is during the initial set up phase as it requires more knowledge than alternatives. Once it is setup, it out classes the rest.
